Shocking as it is, a boyfriend of mind would get agitated and beyond irritated (nails on a chalkboard to the 'rest' of us) if he heard any audible sounds of mastication: chewing, slurping, and especially the chewing anything crunchy ie chips, would set his teeth on edge. Apparently, according to a study my Mom found and emailed me your sensitive ears simply can't help that it drives you nuts and it's merely a sign of a very creative and artistic person. Who ever would've known.
